Can I install central air conditioning myself safely and effectively?

Installing central AC yourself is not recommended. Handling refrigerant requires certification, and 2025 units using 454B include leak detection and need specialized tools. A proper install includes the condenser, copper line-set, pad, dedicated electrical circuit with disconnect, thermostat wiring, evaporator coil, blower, condensate drain, refrigerant charge, and right-sized ducts. Our licensed, insured technicians in Idaho Falls and Rexburg size and retrofit correctly, and most installs finish in 1–2 days. We also recommend one annual inspection or a maintenance plan for reliable performance.
